Wee! morning.

i feel like catching sydney morning and i have umpteen of thoughts going on now. i need a spot to express my thoughts and here i’ve found that perfect spot. this particular morning that i’m catching holds a particular meaning. this particular sunrise in fact no longer hold any particular meaning. am i beating ard the bush? haaa…. indeed i am.  i miss that particular someone but thank god, i’m no longer feel any tinge of sadness simply becuz i believe there r so much more happening out there that deserve a real saddening moment.  mine on the other hand, is peanut.

however, i can finally say i was in love before. well, sometimes u jus need some form of declaration for self-clarification. and again, i realised i was playing with words… this is what will happen to a brain that has been functioning since… i dunno when… hahahaaa….  and that functioning brains have not sleep thru the saturday night.

so what have i been doing den? studying… munching…. kopi-ing… getting irritated by the inefficient internet… and having my thoughts drifting away.

somehow, i was mesmerised by the lovely sydney morning albeit my area of vision is restrained by that rectangular window beside me.  captivated by the chirpings of the early birds, i declined to sleep.

i want to enjoy a delightful morning without the usual morning rush for lectures.

i want to finish up my math2065 tute wk5 paper.

i want to do tons of things.

but my body is slowly weaken.

good morning pple!

- my nonsensical rambling-

morning morning!

food that depicts joy.

i always have this craving for mee soto. i found it. i ate it. i paid for it. at this whopping price tag of 9 bucks. HOWWWW exp. but the chilli was nice and spicy la.

it doesn’t taste as good as the authentic singapore product but once you mix it with the chilli, it doesn’t taste that bad overall.

can’t rmb what it’s called. think it’s sth like gado gado or whatever. anw, it cost 9 bucks as well… i don’t deny that it’s costly but sth to get my craving fixed afterall i  had a wonderful time introducing these dishes to my honkie friend.

story behind this beef bowl (5+AUD)….

i met my south africa friend (the 1st babe i came to know in Sydney) for lunch at yoshinoya after my jog. we have not seen each other for like 1 mths plus? and the farniest thing she said to me was… “did u just had a teeth surgery?” and i actually bursted into laughter. cuz the actual fact was that i simply put on weight and has got nth to do with teeth surgery or whatever sort. HAHAHA. yesh yesh, i am a plate face girl!  DAMN!

yums looking isn’t it! i cooked one manssss… wuhahahaaa… alrighty, not in the sense of making the dumpling instead i just boiled and pan fried it. haaa.. but still, it’s an effort!

cheese, bread, brocolli, wine…. the basic ingredient for cheese fondue.

i invited my dearest angels over for this simple fare i made. it also fulfiled my craving for CHEESE. i can’t help but to keep on buying heaps of cheese since i’m in this cheesy country. haaaa… and so, i bought camembert(6+AUD), brie(6+AUD),  and 2 block of swiss cheese (7AUD). tell me if it’s cheap.

the angels in turn bought me cupcakes…

all mine! means… i’m gonna get even fatter! wuhahahaaa….

yup. i have heaps of food craving and one of it has to be katsudon! my top 10 fave food! the craving was so intense that i actually made my way to marrickville (10-15mins walk from my home)  in the midst of cooking, just to get these missing ingredient: mirin and onion.

it was SOO good. i mean, you can’t go very wrong with dashi stock, mirin, sugar and eggs as the ingredient.

and,

i was SO happy eating it!

i know i should cut down my food intake. on the other hand, i REALLY want to bake something and i realised i haven’t been baking for months!

therefore, i found this recipe from my recipebook (alllll the way from singapore) that does not require the use of electric whisk.  the batter was so similar to the taste of nutella! BIG YUMS!

the measurement of the ingredient wasn’t that accurate since i do not have a measuring cup but to my surprise it actually turned out quite alright.

my delectable dark choco cookies.

till then,

take cares,

love,

running away from home.

double chin, lotsa fats… it just indicates that it’s the time to jog.

and so i jogged with no planned route.

slowly, i made my way to campus, into some ulu spot that i have not been to before.

soon, i got distracted by the scenic view that my uni  has to offer.

don’t you all agree? it’s just so captivating.

within mins, i slowed down my pace and started walking instead.

it’s winter now but it’s not that cold for today.

i enjoyed my jog/walk to the extend that i actually walked all the way to chinatown. it’s quite a distance to a few but walkable to me.

yesh, i definitely need more jogging session. hahahaa… but i will get distracted by the beauty of nature again, i’m sure.

one tough cookie who survived the tormenting exam.

FRIENDS

dear friends!

i survived! thank god. the past 3 weeks was insanely overwhelming. having a stale brain to absorb 13 chapters of 6 modules in just 2 1/2 is seemingly impossible and i’m so glad it’s over. seriously, i think unisyd is nuts. i have friends contemplating on quitting uni after having undergone just one semester. i’m not sure how’s the university system back in singapore but trust me, it’s aint easy here.

during these tormenting period, we practically didn’t have much time to do stuff other then studying and sleeping. i must say i am really appreciative of the singaporean angels’ kindness for constantly providing us with lotsa food.

and when i say a lot, i meant A LOT…

vegetarian noodle for our lunch & dinner.

jasmine made irresistible egg sushi! the best i ever had! no kidding…. those eggs, those rice… perfecto!

heartwarming watercress soup with chinese condiments of beneficial health properties.

charlene made really really reaLLY GOOD thai tang hoon!!! a real tedious preparation work she said but it was worth while! turkey mince was used in replace of pork/chicken mince as it’s comparatively cheaper yet healthier! woooo… i’m drooling now…

and of cuz, each of them was given to us on separated days…

I SO LOVE MY NEIGHBOUR who live just across the street!!!! muackS!

that’s not all… my housemate xtine was incredibly nice as well… mannssss…. she actually went straight to supermarket immd after her final paper to do some groceries for me!!! and no, i didn’t assign her to do dat. she bought frozen satay rice thingy for me  which i only mentioned once to her about my satay craving. when she returned (which she should be totally zonked out after her papers), she started to prepare pot of braise meat (my fave dish that she prepares) in the middle of the night! and that pot of meat was supposed to last me throughout my exam period when she’s not around.  wonder woman mannss…. tsktsk… now that’s she’s back to NZ, i really do miss her!

to celebrate the end 3 week of insane study routine, i headed over to charlene and jasmine house for pasta. and mannssss….. the pasta was YUMS! i normally dislike pasta with tomato sauce but this was nothing too “tomato-cy” and i actually like it! they let me brought the left over home for my breakfast cuz they’ll be gone for melbourne the next day.. which… i’ll definitely miss them for the next 8 days!!!

i’m sorry if i made you drool all over my blog. wuhahahaaa….

 till then,

take cares

cheerios,

delphi

ReasonS behind my weight gained.

photo is the best evidence… haaa… evil food!

I’m really delighted to have found this stall “Singapura” that serves lotsa singaporean dishes, however located in oxford street aka gay street.. food is pretty authentic albeit costly with the price tag of 8-9bucks per dish.

xtine worked her ass off to make this scrumptious westernized dinner. fact before your eyes! i have a sweet housemate!

yumsss….

my virgin attempt on making green bean soup and char kway teow which tasted undeniably good!

adorable petite apples from our nursing friends who lives just across the road!

dear friends, i really do miss you. life has been really really hectic and i so need a breather! however, i will not be deterred easily. on the lighter note, i’m pretty esctastic that dennis aka my twin is coming to sydney during my july vacation! how brave of him! kudos dennis! but that also reminds me of how unfeeling are kumi, rei, ruoning, sheryl and all!

this prolly is the last post before my exam ends.  take cares my darling friends.

PS: Mummy I love you!

sign off,

gorgeous babe. ;)

A humongous Singaporean junkie residing in Sydney

caution! the photos below ain’t suitable for those with waistline problem. however, the fatty bom bom me is not going to be bothered! and so, i’m proud to present to you my studies survival kit!

that’s not all….

haaa… and that pathetic apples are totally being outcasted. supermarket here often have really good deals for chips and chocolate and therefore i am given a very acceptable reason for getting them! ha!

of cuz, when you’re in aussie you gotta buy dairy product cuz they are considerably cheaper as compared to singapore.  looks real cute eh! we came up with a dance for it too… wooo laaa laaa…. what have studies turned us into!

cheese! milk! choco! juice! and not forgetting… krispy kreme, you rock!

our packed dinner that only cost us 10bucks for 3 packets! as for usual, i stick to my saying… “good buy must buy!” ha!

i know you miss me… and i miss u too! huggie my friendS! muacks!

peace out,

delphi
